ABOUT

Jou, L.Ac is a California Licensed Acupuncturist based in Redwood City, California, serving patients throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. Her clinical approach is shaped by nearly a decade of hands-on practice and more than two decades of observing human behavior, relationships, stress, resilience, and how life leaves its imprint on the body.

Jou specializes in the intersection of pain management, recovery, and nervous system health. By integrating acupuncture, trigger point therapy, and individualized care, she helps patients reconnect with their bodies and gradually restore balance and stability in everyday life.

Beyond the treatment room, she explores the relationship between the body, emotions, and personal identity through both writing and visual storytelling. Her work is featured in Field Notes and After Hours, where she reflects on the everyday rituals that help people return to themselves. Her work is guided by a simple belief: "When the nervous system feels safe, healing becomes possible."
